I randomly came across this sunflower field a few miles from my house. I dressed my girls up and made them hike out to it with me so I could snap a few photos.
I love being a mom…they are so sweet and they’re growing up too fast.

We tried many of these for their holiday card family photo…of course their dog Bam didn’t want to cooperate. What did we do before photoshop?…
During my February trip to Colorado, my cousin Meghan was in town from California with her new baby. I had a chance to visit with them and of course do a photo shoot of sweet Anabelle. Take a look at her eyes, they’re so big and gorgeous.
My oldest daughter Ava turned four on Thanksgiving this year. These are a few photos I snapped today.
What’s remarkable about these is her hair. Ava has very curly hair, complete ringlets all around her head…maybe you’ve seen earlier posts of her with curls.
Anyway, we went to a birthday party this weekend and it was so cold outside. I didn’t want her to leave with wet hair…which is what you have to do with curly hair. So she actually let me use a hairdryer for the first time and I decided to try and straighten it. I did a pretty good job…this was my first time ever straightening someone else’s hair.
She loves it and thinks she looks like Sleeping Beauty…her favorite princess. I love it and wish my hair was this thick and fabulous!
I love taking photos of kids because I can be such a dork and not even embarrass myself (which I’m usually very good at!). I had a fun time with Dave, Tanya and Greta during this portrait session. Greta is the sweetest little girl – and she’s going to be a big sis in 8 short weeks! Dave & Tanya – I hope I’ve created special moments for you to cherish. Kim.
