This is Jason’s sister Michelle. She is stunning and it still blows my mind that she just turned 15! Good thing her big brother is tough! Anyway, Michelle is so well spoken – she MC’d
Carri’s bridal shower of 100 guests, she was not nervous one bit. I thought for sure she was in her 20s. I couldn’t public speak until I had a degree in Speech Communications when I was 22…10 years later – I still get nervous. Michelle you would make an awesome lawyer – beautiful & strong!
Carri & Jason used these different colored sands instead of a “unity candle” during their ceremony. Each set of parents and grandparents came forward to pour a bottle of sand in the large vase and Carri & Jason finished it off.
The final product was really pretty.
Part of the beach theme.
I love seeing the anticipation on the face of a groom.
Beautiful Carri and Uncle Dave (Dave and my mom are brother & sister).
I know their guests were wondering why I took a picture the opposite way of the alter – but I had too. All of a sudden during the ceremony it started pouring rain. They always say…”rain on your wedding day brings good luck!”.
The Best Man was Jason’s uncle. He is holding the rings as the Priest blesses them…
HA! I’m not sure who was more nervous here…Jason or Tom, but someone dropped the rings during the handoff
I love this shot of Jason looking at Carri. They are so cute together.
This is the limo with the bridal party. This picture was taken while leaving the church. We were on our way to Illinois State Beach for bridal party photos.
The limo was pretty cool – the ceiling had lights that kept changing color. There was also a flat screen tv
in the back. During the ride, they played a video montage of the two of them growing up. I enjoy watching these montage’s at weddings. It’s funny to see what people looked like 20-30 years ago during odd looking stages – like middle school.
Good thing they made a beer stop – the limo got lost on the way to the beach and we were driving around for an extra 45 minutes!!!
There was a dance party to pass time.
This is Shannon the MOH
, she ended up sitting in the front seat to get us to the beach. You’d think a limo driver would have directions – especially when he’s on a tight schedule!
We did finally make it.
The flowers were gorgeous. Carri’s bouquet was all white with the bridesmaids in bright colors. Their florist was KaBloom
I always love seeing fruit in vases. It seems so fresh.
Uncle Dave and Aunt Pat.
This is Kevin, Carri’s brother.
Carri and Jason are very athletic. This welcoming was very appropriate for them – they both played baseball/softball in college and now Carri coaches the varsity team at her old high school.
The cake was amazing. It was made by Aracely’s
Bakery & Deli in Franklin Park (Jason’s family owns the shop). They custom made the cake with a hand built bridge – it was really cool.
These are the serving utensils.
Okay – so these are the Little People. I’ve personally never heard of them – but they were a hit amongst the 30 some kids in attendance. This was a surprise to them by Carri’s grandma – Jason looked a little scared at first. Basically they come in and give a little show with dancing and singing. Crazy thing…my husband Jian
and I were at the Taste of Lincoln Park in Chicago a few weeks ago – and the Little People were on a stage. This time they looked like cowboys!
The Little Man was singing to this girl, poor thing she was so embarrassed.
