Engagement Portrait: Chicago

Monday, June 29th, 2009

I photographed Heather & Jake recently for their engagement session and couldn’t stop smiling. Heather is such a doll who cannot keep a straight face. She was always giggling – I didn’t even have to ask Jake to make her giggle, she could just do it on command!

We met at this quaint little fountain park on the south side of Chicago’s Institute of Art and walked around to the amazing gardens in Millenium Park. These gardens were so fabulous – they were like a sea of purple…so pretty.

These were some of my favorites from our evening together…enjoy!

Engagement Portrait: Denver

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

A few weeks ago I was in Denver photographing a wedding and taking a quick break from it all. While I was there I met up with Christy & Scott, whom I photographing their wedding in September, for their engagement session.

We met at City Park in Denver and found some really pretty locations throughout. These are a few of my favorites…

I love this boat house.

S&C: I had so much fun with you and I can’t wait for your wedding! xoxo Kim.

Green Wedding Ideas

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

I found this video online with ideas to make your wedding eco friendly. I love the ivy placemat idea and the soy votive holders – they would be so cute in my kitchen.

Check out this video from Connecticut’s Fox 61.
